Hello everyone, so my sunroof gear dripped and I came across this one on eBay made in turkey.
(See pic) I ordered it today and I will post the results after I revive and install it.
wanted to pass the info along to anyone in need.

My new motor gear came in today & it took me about 3 hrs to do the job.
I am posting pics of the process.
I didn't have to remove the entire head liner. only the sun visors retainer screws, a-pilars and the hold handle.
I had to disassemble the motor, clean and regrease everything.
I am still having some relearn issues but that's ok. all in all it works again. only cost me $17.80 and 3 hrs of my time.
That to me sure beats the $40 from the sunroof company and $350 for a new motor.
I hope this help anyone in the same situation.

THE pics didn't post in order but you can see how it went, over all not a terrible job. Worst part was putting the sun visors back on.

Do you know what caused the gear to strip? Looks like there was binding somewhere in the sun roof itself causing too much load on the motor/gear. Better try and find the root cause or you could end up in the same situation down the road. Something like THAT isn't normal wear and tear.

Thank you for the tip. I had just assumed that was normal wear. That may explain why it won't relearn the auto feature.
ill investigate further and thank you so much.
cheers,

Hi B.H.,
I checked all the tracks etc. I greased everything but the motor does seem to have some slight tight spots. I'm thinking I need to go back thru the motor to be sure everything is greased well.
Thank you again for bringing it to my attention. I'll post any further findings or developments.
Cheers,
T-

Working normaly now.
