Suggestions? It's not the front hubs...
Great news!!! Both front hubs are noisy but not loose yet - not even 2ys old! Then the big one is and if any of you saw a posting I had done about a month ago regarding Oil changes and oil leaks aftewards... Yup, at that time the service writer asked if both diffs and transfer case had been done which they had so the service was denied. And about a week after the normal oil change was done I started seeing oil leaking from underneath, quite a bit more than just the few drops here and there after an oil change.
So they noticed that the oil leak that I had brought up was coming from the transfer case and so they pulled the plug. YUP just about bone dry! Oil was black as hell, so now they have to pull it apart and see if it's damaged. Merry Christmas to me!!
So that makes me wonder, I know there was a small bit of oil on the bottom of my truck back when they did the oil change and the diff/transfer case service was denied. Wouldn't you think that they would say, well we noticed a possible leak around your transfer case and it might be something worth looking into!!
Well like I said Merry Christmas to me! I hope you all had a better start to yours than I have mine!

If you hadn't guessed already, yup having to replace the transfer case. Gears were toast, bearings toast... Ended up ordering a entire new case because by the time they would tear down the old one, get new parts and put it back together it ended up being cheaper to put in a new one.
So word to the wise, watch your oil level in your transfer case. If you think you have a leak from somewhere else, keep an eye on your TC. I thought my oil leak was from them changing the oil... My truck only has 71k on it.
Have a good one!
