Sudden alternator whine in rear speakers.

Sudden alternator whine in rear speakers.
Had a sudden alternator whine happen while cruising down the highway tonight and turning the radio off fixed it while driving. Brought it into my shop to start troubleshooting and when I started it back up to bring it into my garage the sound was gone. I checked all the wires and grounds for continuity and the alternator checked out perfectly. Not sure what else it could be but shutting down the vehicle seemed to temporarily "fix" the problem. Any advise as to what this phantom problem could be would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the oem battery connectors?
