Question Subwoofers in an 08-09

Hey guys, am thinking of putting a sub and an enclosure in my 09, but i have the rear row of seats in it. I also have captain chairs for the middle row... I just saw this on the web

Hummer H2 Rear Custom Trims with Inbuilt Twin Sub-woofer Box | Audio, GPS, & Car Alarms | Gumtree Australia Banyule Area - Heidelberg Heights | 1072797830

But this is the wrong year, trim colour etc, but wondered if anyone else had seen anything similar, or has any solution for an enclosure under the seat (captain chairs).

thx

This is new to me, but very cool.
Almost any custom fabricator can make one for an 08/09.

I have the exact same set up as you (2nd row captains chairs, 3 row, etc).
Were you thinking of another possible place to install subs? Under each captains chair?

Yeah. Thinking of one under one side and the amp under the other but not sure how much space I have or need. Did think about an enclosure in between the chairs but I'd sooner keep the aisle clear. Anyone know if there's much space behind the rear quarter trim? Ie where compressor is located etc.

I found this on elcova forums (doubt I'll have trouble mentioning the name since you can't become a member anymore).

This is from an older model H2, but I've seen this done w/ the captains chairs. I'm just not sure where the amp was mounted.

Do you think it would be difficult to fabricate the same rear quarter panels like the guy did in the first option. If anyone has taken the trims out is there enough space behind it for some kind of enclosure ? I quite like the idea of it being discrete. Thanks for the pics above. I had seen them before, but the captain chairs kind of snooker me.

You could also put some subs in the rear doors. It is about the same work. Attached is a picture of a single 10. Real clean

Is that yours ? I can't see the speaker at all ? any other pics of the enclosure ? I thought about the rear door, but then i thought about the rattle and the added weight on the thing. The struts would probably begin to give me grief too. Thinking about buying an extra quarter trim, and getting someone to fabricate a speaker mount into it, and an enclosure behind it. I'm not at home at the moment though, so need to take the trim off on my one first to see if there's enough room behind there to get something done.

No it is not mine. It looks like a bandpass enclosure to me. Just pop up the pockets on top and you can see what you have to work with. There is not much room.

Too bad the JL audio enclosure doest fit your year.

Nope. Never got it. Still thinking of a solution. Am leaning towards getting a sub fabricated into the rear side trim panel (where the jack etc sits) as i still need my boot space (i got third row seats). I tried to find something that would fit under one of my captain chairs but nothing's been suitable thus far.
