Stuff the Hummers Royal Toy Battle
Today, Team Up for Tucson and K-HIT 107.5 radio will hold The ROYAL Toy Battle at Royal Automotive in Tucson. As part of Team Up For Tucson's STUFF THE HUMMERS TOY DRIVE, the Army, Navy & Air Force each will field a team & will compete to see which branch of the Armed Forces can collect the most toys & assemble the most bikes in 2 hours! All toys will be donated to Salvation Army of Tucson. So far, we have approximately 150 bikes donated (new, in-the-bax that still need to be assembled by Decemeber 15 for the annual Stuff the Hummers Toy Drive) that the 3 teams have graciously volunteered to build and be part of this friendly competition. Thank you to the 3 branches of the Armed Forces that are partcipating in today's bike build.
For anyone who is local, stop by to donate a toy & cheer on your favorite military branch. The event will take place at Royal Automotive, 4343 East Speedway near Columbus on Saturday, from noon until 2pm.

Thank you Pappibri. We collected a few hundred toys. Here's an update:
Yesterday's bike build event went really well and a good time was had by all. We had 146 bikes delivered that were purchased with money donated by some very generous supporters.
Imagine how much time it would take to assemble that many bikes at home. That could have been a problem but problem solved, why not ask the Army, Air Force & Navy to do the job - thankfully, they all agreed and it took all of 1 hour to have all 146 bikes assembled (& at no charge).
Here is the Air Force team - they arrived an hour early, tools in hand, came in with a plan and brought their top and very focused aircraft maintainer crew and their Senior Master Sargeant to bark out orders.
Here is the Navy team - the Navy team came in with the smallest team in number but with some very large human beings (some Seals) with a kick-azz attitude. They were there to win it all!
The Army team came in with the largest team (but half of them arrived a half-hour late for the "battle" - glad that didn't happen on D-Day! ) & they fell behind early but caught up with a vengeance when the other half of their team arrived.
An hour later, here is the combined result.
So, which branch of our Armed Forces won the battle? To find out, you will need to watch this video:
To all who participated, THANK YOU! We are truly blessed to have the people we have serving our country, protecting our freedom and so willing to help and get involved in our local communities and causes. We can't thank you enough for showing up in force and helping us with our Tucson Christmas toy drive! The bikes will be warehoused and delivered to the Stuff The Hummers toy drive on December 15 and donated in loving memory of Christina-Taylor Green to Salvation Army of Tucson.
