Hey guys...

My 2006 H3 was running great, until suddenly it got stuck in 3rd. It is always in 3rd unless I am on the highway, if I take my foot of the gas it will step up a gear (revs reduce), but I don't know if it goes to 3rd OD or 4th (this vehicle has no gear indicator, why?)

We have connected a diagnostic tool, a scientech 3 fancy one, and there is no hint of an error code at all, nothing.

We read on the forums, tested voltages, and all checks fine, so now we are stumped.

Anyone got any ideas?

How many miles on the Trans????
When was the last time the trans fluid and filter were changed?

Is the fluid level correct and does the fluid look clean, no dark color or burnt smell?

Not unusual to have the valve body get stuck in a gear because a trans is toast.


When you say the Traction Control Button doesn't work, what are you trying to do?
