I like the nice long one the H3 came with originally.....except for the fact I had to add some blue thread lock so it would stop unscrewing.....

I was waiting for someone to drag this down into the gutter. I thought I was going to have to do it myself.

I enjoyed checking in with this thread when I got home from work... Seems like a lot of you haven't had any problems so on it goes! The one I have is 12"(not to one up you Guinnessboy) I'm gonna look for the spring adapter, although I think I'll pass if it's $20. Thanks for the input!

 

I installed the 21" stubbie because I just wanted to reduce the height to just below the roofline and not impact reception. It is a billet piece so I'd take it off if it was in danger of snagging.

 

I have the 8", it doesn't flex, didn't really notice much of a reception difference. Although I haven't been through the "brush" with it yet, mostly mud holes and snow. But no problems yet.

I have the same one as Patches and it is usually strong enough to power through the pine tree brush. Did not do too well against thetrunk or branchthat also nearly took off my mirror. Bent the adaptor shaft a little bit. Then I was stoopid enough to run through one of those car washes with the long snaking scrubber straps that finished the job. Just had to put on a new adaptor shaft though. Went back to the whip any way cuz I like dodging through the woods.

I think this was the passage I was going a bit fast through.
