So while trying to do a good thing and replace the factory oil I noticed one of the skid plate bolts was not going without a fight. So i went so an got it out,changed the oil , started to replace plates bolts. I put the bolt that gave me issues back in but not all the way. Anybody have these issues and how would i go about fixing that one bolt/threads.

 

is it stripped? WHich bolt is it? If it's one of the front ones then you can just go to gm and buy a replacement nut clip. The back ones I am not 100% sure if they use a nut clip or if they holes are actually tapped. I would buy a nice cheap tap/die kit and using the the correct die, run it up and down the bolt a few times to clean up the threads then take a tap the same size and thread pitch and run it through the hole a few times...this will clean up both sets of threads and it you'll be good to go.
