yes I have both....this will annoy quite a few but....the h3 cannot hold the rubi's jock off road, just not going to happen. Road driving in the JK is 500% better than the prevous year models...much quieter inside the cab and actually have power windows and doors now!! I still give the on road ride to the hummer as it is a more comfy ride. The JK has more power and the 6 speed manual is NICE!! The new hard top on the J is pretty cool...you can drive with the t-tops off and it takes one person 5 minutes to do...not like removing a had top on older model wranglers. All things considered I love both trucks...I really do...but if owning a hummer wasn't so cool I would rather have the Jeep.
The Jeep website says that the JK has a 3.8 liter making 202 hp and 237lb.-ft. of torque. I believe that is "less" power than the 3.5 or the 3.7, right? (Ok.....It's a few more lb.-ft. more than the 3.5, but still less hp.) With the weight being only 350-400 lbs. different, I don't see how the jeep is noticeably more powerful, especially if you add bigger tires to it. As far as off-roading, the Jeep seems to have an advantage in most areas. But on paper, the Hummer appears to beat the Jeep in a few. I value your opinion as the owner of both vehicle and these are just my observations from my "studies" on each. Again, thanks for your review.......

well...My hummer is an auto and the Jeep is a 6 speed....I would assume that's why it "feels" like it has more *****. I never dyno'd them...just a seat of the pants feeling (shut up muddy) I have an intake and 35's on both trucks so there is no advantage there. Also the hp #'s are misleading....the 220 is at the crank....there was a guy that did an all wheel drive dyno about a year ago here and the numbers were LOW. Being a two wheel drive truck the Jeep will loose less HP from the crank to the rear tires than the h3 will lose from the crank to all 4 tires. The difference in power is minimal...sorry if I was misleading...it's not like comparing the h3 to a mustang or anything.

Yeah, K&N has the dyno graph and numbers for their FIPK on their website: http://www.kandn.com/dynocharts/77-3044.pdf 164 hp to the wheels stock. 180 with their FIPK. The Jeep #'s are pathetic, comparably....... http://www.kandn.com/dynocharts/63-1553.pdf If they are correct numbers for the Jeep I don't know how it would feel like more power at all.......I would have expected better numbers from a rear drive vehicle. Wow....153 rwhp with the FIPK on it. I would like to see a straight up drag race with both of your vehicles. It would be interesting.....and maybe settle a few arguments that people have. Sorry if it seems that I am stirring the pot, but my next door neighbor bought a Jeep like yours and I just bought my H3. I am just trying to get some ammo for when he comes and starts ragging me for buying a the H3 instead of the Jeep.
