Still no fix for tire vibration
I posted about a rear tire vibration about a week or so ago that I am getting on my new H3. It occurs mostly between 50-60 MPH and feels like the tire is actually low on air. I took it back to the dealer the first time and they stated the tires were out of round and replaced all 4. Afterwords the vibration actually seems worse. Once again took it back to the dealer and they tell me today that the vibration I feel is just a characteristic of the vehicle. I am not buying this. I did not feel this till around 1800 miles. Anyone know what recourse I have or am I just stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You are the first to report this anomaly (by definition: 1 in 250)..If the tires wasn't the cause then it could be the wheels...if ain't the wheels it could be one of the rear rotors, or it could be the propeller shaft to the rear axel..but since it is at a specific speed that tells me somthing is out of balance...it's all guess work form here..But I can tell you mine rides as smooth as silk at any speed..so it ain't normal vibrations....Persist that they find the cause or ask for a replacement H3 and compare the rides with the service writer in the passenger seat.
I have two different sets of tires/rims that I run (summer/winter) and have NO vibration issues as all. I would go back to the dealer and complain, and mention that another possible characteristic of this problem is a punch in the nose! There is no way your dealer should get away with that. Maybe mention that you will have to phone GM customer service to confirm his assesment and give them the dealers name and phone number.[:@]
i have the same problem, but i have bought different rims. i thought it was a bent rim, but have since replaced all 4 and i still feel the low pressure type feeling.
One thing i did find out is that, the majority of the dueler adventure series tires have ripped beads from factory... due to the fact that they install them dry! dont know if that can affect the ride...
