Hi, 2006 H3 Suddenly gives stab/abs/reduced power messages but throttle pedal response is actually zero. It idles fine but zero throttle response. Codes are P2122 and P2128 so I replaced the accelerator pedal assembly and crossed fingers...no luck, same exact symptoms.

Thinking TB replacement but as this happened just after a big rain, didn't know if its one of the under dash or under seat parts that got wet instead? Can't find any actual water anywhere from sunroof but haven't removed passenger seat yet.

Does zero throttle response give anyone a clue? Can't drive it anywhere, would have to tow and it'l get real expensive to just start replacing PCM/BCM and a bunch of other stuff one at a time. Thanks in advance!

 

Inspect the plugs at the PCM as well as the integrity of the PCM case. Make sure the PCM case hasn't split open. A visual inspection of the seam is all you need. At the plugs find the wires from the APP (Accelerator Pedal Position) sensor. A wiring diagram is required. Look for bent pins, pushed in pins, green corrosion and water. Also inspect for broken wires at the plugs. Repeat at the APP connector. If everything looks good, use contact enhancer on the plugs. The stuff is expensive and use sparingly. Do not use dielectric grease!
Unfortunately without proper tools, like a scan tool and volt/ohm meter, that is all I can suggest at this point.

 

At this point I'd strongly recommend to have a good scan tool, DVM and patience.
