New (less than 1k mi.) 09 H3 makes squishing sound when brake pedal is depressed or released. It seems to be emanating from under the dash over the hump. Anyone else hear this? Should I get it checked?

 

I have this. since it was brand new. and i still do. mine is a 09. im assuming its normal.

 

Does it on my 09 Alpha ... did on my 07, as well.

i dont think its what the thread is talking about.

first of all. mine is a 09 model.

secondly, it has nothing to do with what surface im driving over. it only happens when i brake. and its not a squeek noise. its a squish sound.

and if anything was leaking im sure id notice it. dont you think?

 

Its normal, my 08 does it. I forgot why it does it, I think it was called hydro brake system or something like that.

 

I'm no mechanic but it sounds like air in the lines. All brake systems are liquid and anytime you run liquid through lines under pressure, air will make noise.

I could be wrong but my 06 does not do this. Could be something new I suppose but def have it checked out.

 

mines an 09 an has also done it since day 1...turn the radio up louder!!!

 

Ditto, when I was buying my T, every 09 I looked at made the same sound when you press the brake.
