When I open the driver's window it works but there is a kind of dry squeaking/rubbing sound coming from within the door.
Are there some lubes spots I should check?

Hummer 2 140,000km or about 100,000 miles done.

Noise gone now....just needed using.

 

You need to pull the door panel off and lube the regulator assy with white lithium grease and then spray silicone lubricant on the rubber weatherstrip where the glass slides into.

You could also have a frayed cable on the regulator and in that case a new one will be required.
