Default Speed Sensor

Today I changed out front and rear diff and Tcase fluid. Everything went as planned until I went to test drive the vehicle. I have no speedometer isn't reading plus the truck won't shift out of 1st. I'm guessing because the sensor isn't reading a speed so the truck doesn't know to shift.

What I didn't done before I started the fluid swop was to disconnect the negative battery post. Wondering if I fried the sensor.

Question is, is the sensor the black plug or the connector that plugs into the black plug that screws into the Tcase??

Thanks for any help guys!!!

Ok problem resolved. I inspected the black plug that is screwed into the Tcase and the Oring had slipped down onto the threads while I cleaned it. I didn't pay attention before reinstalling it. So the magnet in the black plug wasn't deep enough into the Tcase to get a reading. I always just hand tighten it since it's plastic and when I felt resistance this time I stopped, thinking it was seated properly.
