spare tranmission for h2 limo
Hey guys I own 4 h2 limos in my limo company. Some of them are over 100k miles on the original transmission. I want to buy a spare transmission to have on the shelf when one of them has a problem. Do any of you have any suggestions about this? Didnt hummer change from teh 4L60 to the 4L65 transmisson after 2003 or something like that? My h2 limos are mixes between 2003 and 2004s. Can you guys give me some advice? Should I buy the 4L65 will it fit all h2s?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I'd have a hard time believing someone did a conversion and left the stock tranny in. You sure there isn't a 4l80 in it? If not, thats what I'd have for a spare...
Just curious, how much the weight is on one of them...

I'm not sure about the weight.
But all the h2s are stock trannys. Is the 4l80e / 4L85e a direct fit with no extras needed? What about the engine software? Fuel economy (not shifting at 5000 rpms) and reliability / lasting a long time is the most important.
