Default Spare Tire Delete Plate

I just finished my spare tire delete plate, just wanted to get everyone’s opinion.

For a clean look, mounting screw heads should be hidden.

No I wanted this look of the stainless fasteners, it will go great with the rest of the vehicle when finished

Are you removing the "H3" OEM emblem from the rear door?

I definitely like what you did, and agree the SS Fasteners look GREAT! Nice job.

However, IMHO, H3s look pretty silly w/o the spare on the back. Kind of like a Pheasant that got its azz feathers shot off.

yes that emblem is gone

Thanks Doc…. I’m actually thinking about putting the spare on the roof, not sure yet

I've never needed a spare? Yet, I have feathers on the back + an alert to tailgaters, that works great.

Personally, IF I moved/removed my spare tire, I'd mount the plate on some 1/4" standoffs, so as to not defeat the ventilation purpose of the rear door vent.

it actually is mounted away from the body for that purpose. There are spacers between the body and plate on the stainless mounting bolts where the spare tire rack was held.
