If you have the factory Nav system do you loose the Monsoon 7 speaker system? Or is it just the radio that is changed?

When you vehicle is ordered new, the factory NAV installation (option code UM8) requires the Luxury Package (1SC) which automatically includes te monsoon speaker system.

mine has the monsoon but no nav
i called the dealer andthe nav is2200 + tax installed

 

Get an aftermarket Nav system = more features and cheaper. You can pickup a very nice AVIC Z-1 for 1500-1800

 

I get GM pricing, so it is not that much more... What are the benefits of going aftermarket?

 

My dealer talked me out of the nav unit because the On Star has the Turn by Turn now and I don't do a lot of off roading. Being that I leased this H3 for 27 months I thought that I would stick with OS for now. When this lease is up I think I'll opt for a Hummer sut 2.
