but I deleted myself from the running in the ROTM poll......posting on other boards to get votes for his rig is pathetic...even though the few that posted voted against 2z, it was still a cheap tactic, if he wants it that bad let him have it. I am the admin at the streetglow forums and could have had a thousand people register here to vote on my rig...but thought fair play was what this contest was about.

not playing fair, that's for sure. I have nothing against the dude, just think he took the whole ROTM thing WAYYYY too seriously....I mean topost threads on 3 other hummer forums just to get people to vote for him....isn't that against some sort of rule or something?!?!? I was within 4 too when I pulled out...I guess he was gettin nervous

 

One of the most difficult campaigns I ever managed.

I started a marketing thread, HG comes by and messes with that, gets in a hissy wit with IK, and starts a competing marketing thread.
Then come the appology. [&o]
IK locks my marketing thread, then when he gets a final run at the stretch, IK withdraws from the contest???



Must have more training to do?????

 

I thought of you when I removed myself from the voting...sorry Doc, it was a well run campain on your end...too bad the other party resrted to cheap tactics I think we should make that a rule in the rotm rule book.....everyone nows it's supposed to be a in house contest to have fun with, guess we need to put it into writting now

 

I don't care why he did what he did.... but what he did could have caused us some serious issues... spamming this board on another board is grounds for banning on the other boards... we don't allow it and it was in poor judgement that he did what he did.

I had a guy do that... we started a recruiting contest... with a cash prize... and this guy went and spammed a board and by the time I got it difussed we had 45 guys whoring the entire board and the Mods were overwhelmed...

It sucked...

We were lucky....

 

we have to deal with this problem a ton at some of my other sites. i dont allow it on my sites, and i would hope that members wouldnt do it on other sites, but some people really want to win rotm...

 

so....what are we going to do about the January elections? I say we just skip it and move onto February. I don't want to lose 2z over this..he's a cool guy and a good member here..but hasn't posted since this went down.

 

I'll talk to him if you want me to... I think I have the right words to let him know it was wrong but we still love him...
