Does any one have a snorkel on their h3, and is there really any advantage for water fording?

 

yes it does help with the river crossing because it raises the air intake from behide the head light

 

but wouldnt you still get water in the engine?

 

they should be water tight. the only way in would be through the intake

 

My understanding of snorkeling with the h3 is that it does help alot because it prevents water splash from getting in. If you stop though snorkel or not and water is high enough it will either fill the engine or short electrical some where. Snorkel is added "insurance" for engine protection when fording at the max level for h3 which is said to be 24". Just my two cents.
