Is that the warming kind? I bet your ball feals good when that stuff is rubbed all over it.
I have never had a problem with having to grease my ball, of course I don't leave it on the truck all the time. I store it behind the rear seat of my sut, I don't tow that mutch, but usually keep the tongue on the trailers I usegreased. So I just wipe my ball when i'm done and put it back in the cab and never had a rust problem.
I learned my lesson years ago, I left my drop hitch on the truck all the time and after several years had hitch rust in the receiverand never could get it out. Had to sell the damn truck with it on. Luckily I never had to change the ball. So now, I always take the hitch of the truck to keep it out of the weather and have never had another problem.
