I want a base model either way, though I wouldn't mind an adventure package. No luxury cause (cover ur ears) I don't like chrome.

I know the 08's are pushing 60k, while I'm sure I could swing an 07 for under 50.

Mechanically I want the 08, for looks and preferance I want the 07. So unless peeps are claiming mid to high teens mpg, or that this 6 speed tranny reinvents the wheel, I'm almost preferring an 07.

I think the best thing to do would be go and test drive another 08, and then an 07 to see how I feel about the two back to back.

In terms of exhaust and intake, did they change from 07 to 08?

if you loved your 03.... then you will notice the 08 is very "Flat chested".... going with the 07 is the only choice....

yea i think you should also go with the 08, the engine and transmission is a big step up and think about resale value youll always get more for the 08 than the 07 even if its the same car with same mileage and features its just the year that counts

I was in the same place you are, between an '07 or an '08. I've had an '03 an '04 and an '05 to date.

The 'incentives' on the '07 are nice and I must say that I have always liked the interior of the pre-'08's.

Now a little about the '08...

-Exterior is about the same with some small changes. I really like the new grille.
-Interior wise, the new interior is more towards a luxury vehicle, but has grown on me over the past month now. Fit and finish are great, but I didn't think the pre'08's were that bad either.
-Engine, Trans and 3.73 Gearing are outstanding.
-Since day one I have been running 87 Octane fuel with NO issues.
-I have about 1500 miles on it now and I'm getting 13.6 MPG City driving (this is going up) and have seen 17+ MPG when driving on rural roads at 40-45 MPH.
-Running boards and roof racks are NOT standard anymore. Although you should be able to work them in as part of your deal if you want them. I did.

I also removed the rear tire carrier, got a license plate holder from the dealer for an '03-'05 and put that on. Cost wise there's no doubt that you'll get an '07 for less than an '08. But with all things considered you'll probably be happier in the long run you went with the '08. Although if you get an '07 it's still going to be a great vehicle!

Honestly, If I was looking TODAY, I'd probably go with the '08 just for the BIGGER ENGINE!!!

The interior is STARTING to grow on me!!!

I put the tire carrier and the spare in my shed. I'll bet the both of those together are close to 250lbs.

I have 2 herniated dics in my back, so if I were to ever get a flat I'm gonna be calling for assistance anyway as I'd have a hard time changing that tire anyway. I'd probably get it off and down ok, but getting the other one back up there... [&:]
