Ok, after reading through all the shift fork threads, I am leaning towards my problem being just that. I was driving to work, hit a pothole, truck changed from regular 4wd to 4wd locking. When trying to shift back to regular, the light changes but the change doesnt happen underneath the truck.....taking it to dealer monday, but does that sound like that is what the problem is??

 

that is a likely cause for the truck to jump out of gear. It wouldn't hurt to check the electrical connections on the transfer case first though.
