AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, the dreaded engine misfire code! [] Sounds verbatim of my situation, except I got no check engine light, (it came to me 1st in email diagnostics) AND mine immediately began idling ROUGHLY. Get her to the dealer, get a rental for a week and "git rrrrrr doneeeeeeeee!" Insist on an extended warranty and rest more easily. Good luck!

In the past3 weeks I have had my check engine light come on twice and stay on, no flashing. After 2 trips out and about the light goes out. Both times it has been after a return home, shut off the motor and approx 10 minutes later going out and leaving again. I spoke with my service manager the first time and he told me he would check it when I went in to have my plastic replaced....by the time I went in it was off. I spoke with onstar and they did not tell me anything more than what I read in the manual. I have noticed that since this has happened I have been getting better gas mileage??? WTH?? I will take it in this week and hope the computer will find out what the deal is.

same thing happened when I got my misfire code, the light went off when I was about to bring it in so Ifigured not big deal. When I brought it in for something else they found the misfire code was in the history of the computer. Hope you have something different!

Should be a build date on the door sticker.

ah ha! A question that I can answer, sorry boys, I got here first. [sm=smiley14.gif]On mine there are two stickers on the inside of the drivers side door, one has tire info and stuff like that on it. The other is a bunch of mombo jumbo that I can't remember ... but, anyway on that one on the top right corner there is a date, I think that's it. It won't say day, just month/year.

A perfect example of the very different way men and women give direction. Yours is straight to the point, mine's filled with the details! LOL!
