What do you need to do if the check engine light comes on and it tells you service four wheel drive? Is it just a maintance light. Can it just be cleared.

Go to Kraigen/Oreilies part store and they will hookup the comp for free and tell you exactly the problem. They will also clear the alarm if you wish.

 

Have you checked to see if your 4whl drive system is working properly? Is your ABS light on too? I would try these things as well. but definitly get a code pulled. Odds are you will need a high end (tech 2) scanner to get the code.

If the ABS light is on you probably have a bad wheel speed sensor. Its an easy fix.
If the ABS light is not on im willing to bet you have a bad transfer case **** motor. Also an easy fix.
