last weekend i let my friend borrow my h3 to tow somthing and the trailer popped off the hitch and scratched the rear bumper right next to the rear tow hook..any suggestions on what paint to use on these things??

 

I would use a mat gray rust inhibitor and call it a day... no way your gonna get it to look new again... however if you do some wheelin with us, you'll scrape the bottom of the bumper anyways and than it wont bother you anymore... lol

 

Contact any GM dealership's body shop. They have a specific paint code for the H3 bumper. Take that paint code to your local automotive paint supply store (Sherwin Williams or whoever). Give them the code, have them fill you a spray can, and go to work.

 

Ive had some experience with this and your not really going to get it the same again. Your best bet might be paint the bumpers to color match the truck

 

if there is any gouges in the paint, use a high build primer and some good ole 400 grit sandpaper and it will bring the life back again, as far as the paint, check with the dealer or paint it another color

 

I would sack up and enjoy the scars on your truck. You could always get a Kia Sorento if you were worried about bumper damage.
