Default Scoshe gm2000a or metra gmrc1?

Hello,

This is my first post in here. But I have a question about aftermarket HU. What is the best chime unit to install.

Today i I installed a scoshe gm2000a and lost the R.A.C feature, so the radio will stay on for about 1 minute after the ignition is off and the door is open. The chime unit I took out sounded like was about to die when it chimed. It was a peripheral gmco.

Would the rac feature be retained by using the metra instead of the scoshe? Any other suggestions are welcome.

I have no on-star or Bose system.

2008 h3, standard system.

thanks everyone
chris

Welcome to HF.

I do not know what a chime is for or what you would do with it. I did google scoshe gm2000a and noticed that the H3 is not on the list of compatible vehicles?

Better to post this in the H3 section, so I MOVED it for you. Not much going on where you posted it, maybe you will get some input now.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Doc

The chime unit maintains all the warning signs in the vehicle after you replace the factory radio with a aftermarket head unit. I know it doesn't list hummer in the compatible list, but it is compatible. Says it on the front of the actually package, but not on the list. I know weird. Also thanks for moving to a more active section.

Just visited the Scosche website and entered HUMMER H3 2008 and it spit out this harness GMSRCL2. You bought the wrong harness form Scosche.
