Has anybody actually installed this yet? I'm anxious to know. My whole "I'm done with my H3" is going right out the window not even 12 hours after I said it

I got mine. I installed it as far back asthe cablewould
let it go. I did not want the cord out the right hand side.
I have only been around the block but its neat. Cable is long enough to temp put it where a passenger could monitor function on a run.

Will it fit in the space just in front of the shifter? If you were to mount it on it's back so the display is facing upward?

No it won't fit in front of the shifter.

I made a cardboard cut out using the same dimesions of the scan guage and it fit perfectly in front of my shifter. Is there something I'm missing?

My "mock up" doesn't block anything. The wire can be tucked and hidden very easily. When the shifter is in drive you can see it just fine especially if I angle it upwards. I just have to figure out the best way to mount it (which shouldn't be to hard). I figure there must be something that I'm missing that Mountainbiker knows about because he has one. I don't like the idea of mounting iton the steering column or in front of the instrument panel because it seems to block the odometer.

RutDogg:

I got my order in with 1 hour to spare on the last day.......Now I got ants in my pants waiting on it to get here.

I'm not sure I like the steering column thing either. I'd prefer to put it in front of the shifter as well.........but......

At least it should be a fun install, regardless of the location.

I saw a glimpse of a mirror mount that didn’t look to bad on first inspection........

I guess I'll see when it gets here.

Hunner:

I've been following your build up for some time now across several forums.....I think you need to change your ID to Mr. Gadget.

Oh yeah....Thanks to all responsible parties for setting up this group buy ! ! !

Gunner:
Where ever you decide to mount it let me know and post some pics plz. As far as a mirror mount (assuming you meant the rearview)....I'll be mounting my backstopper LED display on top of my rearview, so If I get the scan gauge then I'm going to mount it in front of the shifter.
