Default Santiago Peak, Orange County Off Road Trail

Today some friends and I took our trucks up Saddleback Mountain to Santiago Peak, and wow!Highly recommended to anyone in Orange County if you haven't done it, views are absolutely amazing! The H2 made the trek with ease. The entrance to the truck trail @ Silverado Canyon is open now (9/23/07), definitely check out this trail if you get a chance in O.C.!

(The trail can be accessed from the other side of the mountain as well in Corona)

The rims are black (and dirty), I recently blacked out the rig, just need to do the door handles...

Sweet - did you paint the rims? Do they chip when you off road?

beachman : Yes I painted the rims, I used Duplicolor Wheel paint, no chips yet, so far so good.

h2dan: From the valley you would go south on the 5 to the 55 north then off at East Chapman, Chapman East turns into CA S18, turn down Silverado Canyon, you will end up at the base of the trail.

Let me know if you'reinterested insome company as I would love to make the run w/ another Hummer!

Or anyone interested in some Santa Ana Mountain trails, hit me up I'd love to meet some other Hummer drivers!

There is no charge for the trail, however you might want to pick up a Forest Adventure Pass (available @ REI, $30 annual pass) as you're supposed to have a pass for stoping anywhere along the trail, I stopped a few times just to chill and check out the view, so the pass came in handy there.

If you don't plan to stop along the way no pass in required.
