Rusty Chrome Wheels?
I have recently purchased a brand new H2 Hummer and I asked for a set of 24 inch chrome dub combo's which after 2 months the chrome started to flake and some pitting occured. The motor trader I bought them from has tried to have the wheel's re-chromed and has not been successful. So now I have been given the option of gettinganother set or I wonder if anyone can tell me if there is a solution to this problem as I am told all chrome wheels are madein china and are all of poor quality.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem as I am concerned if I getanother brand new set of chrome wheels the same problem with occur?
Thank you Frank

RE: Rusty Chrome Wheels?
Not all chrome wheels are made in China. Wrong.
Common problem with even OEM chrome wheels from GM, Chrysler, etc.
Solution: Replace every 2-3 years, or send to CA to get rechromed right, or buy very expensive (e.g. Giovanni) wheels that guarantee no chrome peel.
Were they expensive or cheap? Anyway, you know you likely bought junk wheels if they are chromed steel (not aluminum), so you get what you pay for. Sorry.

RE: Rusty Chrome Wheels?
the content of the materials in the plating is bad or else the content of material in the wheels is bad.....either way,it is a chemical problem with one or the other which is not letting them stick together
