Anyone had any experience with Royal Purple Synthetic oil? thanks.

Yes, I run only RP fluids in my '05 SUT. I've gotten a small mileage improvement if that's what your asking, but it's only 1 to 2 MPGs better than before. I did it for the reduced wear & tear on the drive train.

Always have ran mobile 1 here. I personally woudn't switch over to a synthetic if its a high mileage engine, only if its been ran from the begenning... I've seen two good running high mileage (100,000+) motors turn to junk in less than 30 days after switching over. Synthetic alot thinner than conventional...

Thanks! I use Mobil 1 today in all of my vehicles... I saw a tv ad for RP and thought I would see if anyone has had any personal experience with the brand. I am interested in providing the best wear protection possible... mpg is not a concern but would be a plus if it happened to improve...
