So you dont have a stock trailer hitch?? The stock ones are beasts and are the toughest damn trailer hitches around.

Thats why I'm shopping for a hitch. I'd love a stock hitch but would rather not spend that much.

oh gotcha. Around here pretty much everybody has a trailer hitch on their HUMMER, so I guess I'm not used to people asking for where to buy one.

This is the one I found. If the picture is correct it does look pretty beefy.

That is a generic photo. The one pictured would not mount to an H3.
The mounting flanges need to be vertical. I would stick to one of the popular manufacturers, Hidden Hitch, Drawtite or Curt.

What's the big deal with a round tube hitch? Square tubing works just as well and either way H3 hitch crossbars mount up behind the bumper where you can't see them anyway.

If you want factory on the cheap, shop some wrecking yards.

Otherwise, have an aftermarket hitch modified so that the receiver pokes through the bumper instead of under it. Any real hitch shop can do this for you although they might leave the bumper cutting up to you.

Yes if you take two seconds to look it says that's a sample image. And that the "item may vary slightly". And the big deal is that's what I want, my truck and my money and I think it will look a little nicer than some of the other aftermarket ones.

I'm gonna take a chance and order it. If its does look cheap or whatever and I cant easily correct the issue I will just send it back. Not in a real time crunch so I'm gonna try it out.
