Default Roof Top driving lights

Just finshed an installed on the OEM roof top driving lights and I have a couple of questions. (1) Does the switch not illuminate with the interior dash lights? I know it has an amberlight when the switch is on, but no backlight for night. (2) According to the local Hummer dealer, the lights covers are not sold seperately. Only sold with the complete unit. The covers have part #'s but do not show up on thier computer. Is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good questions. What if a light cover breaks, how do you replace it if they are not sold separately? If there is a PN, there must be a way of special ordering it in just such a case???
