I put them on because I like the look of them. Like others have said it looked to plain without them. I went with the GM bright roof rack. Steve

Thanks to those of you who took the time to give me your opinions! ARE your guys roof rails hard to lock down ?
I bought a set of aries roof rails , and the plastic locking handel on one of them wouldn't lock down.
I know you hear a click on the roof rail when its in a locking place , but I tore one of the handels trying to lock it down.
It maybe from a defective locking base , mine came pre assembled except for screwing in the bars.I hope to have my replacement
today from ups.Just wondering if any of yours were as hard to lock down , or what I'm doing wrong.

They only lock in a certain position move it over a little see if that works
