While trying to move the roof bars one of the **** was rusted . I tried using a big pile so it gets broken

Does any one knows where to get a replacement or how to fix it

I never thought to look for these, but the oem ones are hard to find.
There's a lot of after market versions out there, but they are 90+ for a set of 4. And they are all chrome, which I doubt you want.

Short of ebay or craigslist, I don't see any popping up at all.

 

I dont mind the 90 but I only use chrome as a Web Browser
I will look for couple OEM crossbars to add one more on the roof and keep some spare

Once I get it I will try to fix this one

Btw those **** get stuck often.. DO NOT TRY BIG PILES ... the screw is very thin and it will break . I should have use some w40 before try to removed

Is there a part number for the **** or are these always sold in sets w/ the roof rails?

 

lol ... most of the time I post from my cell , between the auto correct , the swipe and the small keyboard and some mistakes it came out a dumb mess

 

Yeah but it's always fun trying to decipher your posts. Sometimes I have to get out the old Enigma I keep in the shed!

Mine were all frozen when I got the truck last summer. I used almost a can of PB Blaster and BDPs to gently work them loose. Only prob is they don't tighten enough to keep the bars from moving, and won't loosen enough to get them off to see what I need to do to get them to tighten all the way.

Just got my wife the '08, I think I'll see if I can get her's off and go from there.
