Default Roof Mounted Lights / Light Bar

How does the factory light bar mount? The one with the 2 rectangle lights... any drilling of the metal roof required?

Also, what other light bars are available that you don't need to drill into the roof metal?

I saw a video where they installed the factory roof off road lights and yes there is drilling involved. Not sure you will be able to find one that doesn't require it, I have been holding off doing this mod for that very reason.

Yes the factory offroad & marker lights require drilling & they use rivnuts which I've heard can be a real PITA. I've seen several aftermarket light bars that mount on the roof rail tracks but all seemed rather $$$ to me.

I have a really nice light bar that I would be willing to sell you. It was hand made by a member here, Hilljob, iirc. It is completely bolt on, no drilling. He did a great job and it lines up with the factory mounting holes perfectly. I paid $240 plus shipping. It has less than two years of use. I will sell it for $150. Here is a picture:

G

It is still for sale...had a couple of buyers who backed out. Still $150 and I can ship it anywhere in the ConUS for $20 more. PM me and I'll send you a couple of photos of the mounting points. Installation is no more than a 10 minute job. No drilling, uses factory bolt holes. Bar has rattle can flat black bed liner coating and could use a little touch up
