does the noise sound like driving on a striped/grooved road
i heard this sound tonight coming home at 80 to 85 mph
it was a vibrating hum
its the first time i have heard this sound
do yall think marker lights or what ?
i slowed down and the noise went away

I do not have marker light but I do have factory off road lights and that make a whistling sound wind passing through a bad door/window weather strip.

Where do you all live that the speed limit is80m to 85 mph. Christ the speed limit here is 65 and if you go more then 72 them cops are busier then a ***** on dollar night.

 

DO YOU HAVE THE NEW REDESIGNED MARKER LAMPS? I HAD MINE INSTALLED AT THE DEALER LAST WEEK AND THE PARTS MAN TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD NOISE ISSUES AND WERE JUST NOW STARTING TO GET THE NEW KITS IN.

 

I had the same noise coming from the drivers side near the windshield. This noise would happen between 65 mph with a headwind
or about 80 mph with a tail wind. Brought the truck in for service and they put some trim tape behind the trim that goes up the windshield.
Now I don't get that noise even upas high as90 to95 mph. I don't have marker lights so I don't know if this is the same noise.

 

our speed limit on I-40 is 70 mph most folks run 80 +
i do have the newstyle marker lights .. i didnt hear any noise on the oldstyle on our 06
i was wondering if it was the post making the noise or the lights
it was a crosswind around 15mph
