I think we've been through this before and though this really should go in the WTB section I'm going to throw it out here since it's H2 related.
Does anyone have a completechrome roofbar with the black "fasteners" and keys they want to get rid of? I'm really only interested in ONE but will grab a pair if the price is right :-) Putting together a roof mounted light bar and potentially a rear facing set of lights too.

Common guys, get the old parts out of the garage and let's see if I can't take em off your hands!

 

I'll check the local junkyards around here for you. There are 100's of H2's in my neck of the woods... there has to be one totalled by now.

 

Yanno, I'm an avid "junker" myself and I've made some real finds at the local places here. Took about 90% of the interior trim outof a totalled Denali and put in my Avalanche when I still had it .. they had a $50 dollar all you can carry policy at that place.. and believe me, I can make my arms pretty damn long at a price like that. Others have charged me sums I'm only able to categorize as insignificantfor stuff that would have run me hundreds from dealer or online resources ... what can I said ... I like my junk yards :-)

With that said I have found a couple of totalled Deuces here but neither had the roof bars still on them/on them at all. If you have better luck by all means let me know! I was bidding on a couple on ebay but the price quickly went above and beyond what I'm willing to pay for just one roof bar!

I love the junk yards too.... back when I had my old ranger I traded stuff and hardly ever pulled a wallet out.

I bet on an average day I see 100 Hummers.... hell I pass one H1, 4 2's, and 6 3's leavingthe island every morning.

Maybe I'll have some luck....

 

Yep, it's amazing how much good stuff you can get out of these wrecks sometimes ... I don't know how much the trim pieces would have run me had I bought them new but I know one thing .. just the trim for the window controls on the Avalanche ran in excess of 200 dollars when I checked in to it. I literally got dash trim, console, all door trim pieces (with the exception of one that was cracked), some supports for the middle console (I had a bench seat in the front), pass side front trim for $50 bucks .. I should've bought the seats too but hind sight is always 20/20 yanno ...
I may just have to head on down there this weekend and get dirty ... if nothing else I'd like to see if I can't get my hands on a tire carrier, roof bar, or an upper grille I can get sprayed with bed liner type paint ... nothing like bargain shoppin on behalf of someone elses bad luck :-)

 

If I could talk the old lady into a roof rack you could have mine.... I don't have keys though....
