Not sure if anybody has experienced this before but here it goes... I have a 2000 H1 soft top, when I come to a stop the truck seems to dip a little which would be normal but then it rocks back and fourth one or two more times before it settles. Is this a suspension issue? Breaks are fairly new. Thanks for your help guys.

Ok, that's kinda what I wanted to hear (no repair to do). I've had the truck for about 10 months now, obviously my first one. Finally just thought about asking about it. Thanks for the info.

 

Completely normal. It is due to the backlash of the straight cut gears in the portal hubs.

 

Geared hub issue. There is some play in the splines. Completely normal.

 

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. Got a lot to learn about these rigs. Didn't even notice it when I first got my truck then it was real obvious at one stop and I've been feeling it ever since. Just another quirk with these big boys...

 

If you brake to a stop easily/smoothly the rocking can be nearly eliminated.

 

It's time for a name for this.
