Retrofitting transfer case
 
Hello,
Does anyone know if 5.3 L LH8 V8 engine transfer case retrofits 3.7 2007 hummer h3? This is the only single one available at polish market with a good price too, so it would make sense..

Yes, they all interchange. The only difference will be whether it is 2.6:1 or 4:1 gearing from a base or adventure/off road model.

To compliment, the Borg Warner 4493 is the 2.6:1 and the 4494 is the 4:1, if you need any spares in the future

Yep, they are interchangeable. No different on the outside or inside between I5 and V8.

The high range ratios are all the same.
The low range gear ratios can be very different.
Below are some different ways to tell what you had.

NR4 - Borg Warner 4493 = 2.64:1 low range
NR6 - Borg Warner 4494 = 4.01:1 low range

So if I fit the 5.3 liters t-case to my h3, I won't get a speed decrease on high range ratio, e.g. Im not looking at a less mph on highway?

in normal 4 hi open its direct, 1;1 no change.

Not in 4Hi or 4Hi lock. You will see change in gear ratios if you engage 4 Low, and the ratios depend on which Tcase you chose.
