I am a new H3 owner and am considering replacing the door handles with chrome ones - how tough a job is this and where is the best place for directions

Haven't done it, but many on here have. They will be around to advise you soon.

 

At the top of the H3 section, there is a thread that shows step by step instructions.

I'm getting rid of my chrome for black handles.

rizzo, where you at? Ill trade you all my chrome handles and mirror caps for your black.

 

I live in Minnesota ( Coon Rapids ) 55448 I am picking up the 2007 H3 tomorrow I am still trying to decide between the Silver with chrome handles and chrome mirrors and an identical Black except it has the black appointments - how tough it it to pull off the mirror caps I did it on my avalanche and the whole mirror assembly had to come out. I would be up for a trade if i get the black

 

I traded my black for someones chrome a couple months ago. worked like a charm. very very easy. we next-day aired each other the handles. Just dont lose any screws and its a piece of cake.
