Default Replace H2 horn

I just purchased two Wolo horns, low and high, to replace the wimpy ones that came with my 2006 H2. I can unscrew the nut holding the original horn but don't know how to remove the electrical connection. I don't want to break the housing but it won't just pull off.

Does anyone know how to remove the electrical connections to the horn. I know it is probably very easy but I have been pulling and prying for a while and it is still connected.

Thanks much,

Asanti

I'm also thinking of replacing my stock horn. When you have it installed, please make a video so I can hear the horns (I know there are samples on the Wolo webiste, but I'd like to hear it from your installation)

Glad to oblige, as soon as I have them installed.

OK, my eyesight isn't what it used to be. There is a tab on one side of the electrical bracket that, when pried up, releases the bracket so that it can slide up and off of the horn. Now the problem is that the original horn uses buttons as contact points but the Wolo uses blades. I need to get more blades and wiring to finish this but I will post the results when I do.

I haven't gotten around to replacing the horns yet as it has been 95 degrees or more every day and my garage feels like 120. Muddydawg75 is right about how to do it, but it takes more than 10 minutes just to unscrew the nut holding the old horn in place and screwing on the new one let alone wire it in. Not a lot of space to work.

Does it look like the wolo horns will fit? Are you going to use the bad boy air horns? I was thinking of changing mine to two of those.

Default Not Bad

OK, I did get the Wolo horns installed. After cutting out the old ones and removing the nuts holding them in, it was easy to wire in a couple of blade connectors and install the horns. The new horns fit well into the space provided. I did find that it is easy to bend the metal holding the old horns in place, thus getting a little more room to remove and reinstall the nuts that hod the horns. I am, however, disappointed that the horns are not much louder. I bought the loudest horns available without getting into the air horns.
