I'm interested in purchasing a new deck for my 06 H3. I've been looking all over the place to find a deck that's not too expensive and has a touch screen. Out of everything that I've looked at so far there hasn't been a single one that appears to be good quality with a good interface, anyone have any good suggestions?

 

I have the Kenwood eXcelon DNX9960. It's their top of the line unit and very pricey, but I love it to death. It's little brother the DNX7160 is considerably cheaper, but has the same exact interface, with a few features left out.

Off the top of my head it only has one USB port, doesn't support 5.1 surround if you have TV headrests or the like, and only supports one theme I think. I can't really remember anything else that's a glaring difference....

Wait, I remember now. The big selling point for me was that it has a 12 band EQ since I redid my whole stereo system. The DNX7160 only has a 6 band and considerably less EQ options. The level of options you have to fine tune the DNX9960 is truly mindblowing.

You would probably be happy with the DNX7160 it has garmin nav, and a very simple interface. Check out the audio/visual forum to see my setup.

Now if you're looking for a single DIN deck, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

 

I just got the Pioneer AVH-4200. Awesome head unit!! 7 inch touch screen ipod hook up. You can add a rearview camera external monitors. It can be found on Amazon for under $400. I dont know what your range is but I would def check Amazon.

 

If you want inexpensive, I put a XoVision in for $200. 7in touch with bluetooth, usb and sdcard. Works great for a inexpensive touch screen.
