Removing the tailight
Hello,
This is my first post and I just bought a 07 H3 yesterday
I am trying to install a backup camera and need to route the wires to the reverse taillight. I want to remove the driver's side tailight and have gotten as far as removing the two screws. I try to pull the taillight out but it's on fairly firm. I did manage to pull loose the botton clip, but the upper one is on really tight. Is the top clip the same as the bottom one such that I just pull it straight out? Or it is latched in at a certain angle?
I am afraid of breaking/cracking or scratching something.. Any tips on removing it is appreciated.
thank you
Ken

RE: Removing the tailight
i installed my back up camera using the passinger rear one its more easy then the drivers rear..
I know i was a little scared too but remove the two screws and pull the tailight outward away from the vehicle it takes a little muscle but youll get it.

RE: Removing the tailight
Thank you guys.
What I ended up doing was used a long piece of tape and taped the upper part of the taillight on its side. Then tugged on the tape straight, so the force of pulling the taillight is directly forward without any lateral pressure. And it worked!
Upon installing the $69 camera, I realized the angle of the camera sucks. It only covers 90 degree angle which missed 60% of the car when I mounted it to my license plate (as it's designed to).. I will refund the camera tomorrow and order the Dolphin SonarPedal I found someone talked about on here.
