seems like ALOT of options (opinions) to choose from. I have a few more questions.
#1 can ALL of the negatives on the lights be connected to one wire and then ran to the Neg. on the battery?
#2 I know that I need a fuse between the battery and the relays, but how do you determin the size of the fuse,, Also, do I need a fuse between the 12v+ and the toggles?
I drew up a diagram as to how I think Im going to end up doing it.
Will this work?

let there be light

u can skip the 60 amp stuff and heavy wire by running separate 12 wire for each relay/light. your choice.
even 12 is hard to hook up as you will see.
good learning experience,i wont criticize anything you do since you're new at it and trying. i will criticize guys who know better,or should know better and mislead you to do crazy stuff with 60 amp circuits.
the ONLY place you will find heavy wire in the auto industry is in the starter/charging circuits. maybe the air pump. look around your truck, you'll see.

oh heres ure pix. u can do a lot with a free pix pgm,"irfanview"

Thanks. I figured that the best way to do the relays was to give them their own power source, that way if something is wrong with the lights, I can go streight to the individual wired relay and start testing. Im not saying that T-ing them together or puting them inline wont work, but Im just trying to look down the road when, or if something goes wrong, what would be the easiest on me to figure out the problem.
What about questions 1 & 2 ? What size fuse would be appropiate?
Oh, BTW, the thumbnail pic is smaller than the origional
Thanks for everybodys help!!!!

Now I'M confused!! Bunger and I were trying to guide you with your OWN request to 'daisy chain'!! He was smart to back-off from this mess when he did....I should have followed him.....your baby, tom!

sorry that I offended you. These were my intentions in the beginning, but I like to see, and hear ALL of the options (opinions) before I make a decision that I might regret in the future. Thats why I came to a forum where there are multiple members and opinions.
I do apreciate the time you took to explain how to how to daisy chain relays. I dont see how this became a "mess". It seems more like something persional.
the next time I decide to post here, I will choose my words more careful.
thanks

makes sense to me, no welding cables needed. (i looked at relays i have,no 60 amp! that gets big)
fuses, man just put in a 10 with no bulbs, clik the relays, if it blows u got a wiring prob. if not put in bulbs. if they are over 10 go up to 20. if you have specs, use them.

the simple way i described, one at a time each separate like you're planning can let u test each one as u go. keep it simple huh.AND smaller wire,,,

If not, then the main relay, when active, will always power the set of lights coming from it's output.
Halo,

Relays have 4 terminals:

#85 - coil common (negative)
#86 - coil positive

#30/51 - Direct Power + (fused), could be from the battery
#87 - Load

#30/51 all get power from the same source (battery)
It doesn't matter if it's the Tee configuration or series (daisy chained)

The switches are connected to terminal #86 individually to each relay and switch + power to fire the coil.
The #85 terminals all connect to ground

If one switch turns on it's relay coil, it only closes terminals #30/51 to #87 on it's own relay and the others are unaffected.

So you really have 2 types of circuits here.

the relay coil circuit:
+12 to the switch, in the #86 terminal, thru the relay coil, out the #85 terminal, to ground (negative)

the power circuit:
+12 (fused) in the #30/51 terminal, thru the normally open contacts (which only close if it's coil gets fired), out the #87 terminal, then to the lights and eventually to ground (negative)

Spooky - your on your own now, we tried

Halo - If you want a breath of fresh air, come on over to the Club Hummer forum. It's where I spend most of my time.

LOL, thats kinda childish, " hey man, this club aint cool come to this other club".
Yall are so wraped up in something that you got yourselfs believing that your words are the Holy grail or something. Maby youve forgoten that this is a forum. People can pretty much say what they want, read what they want, and make their own decisions about stuff as they see fit.
BTW, Im not "on my own", you might have forgoten that the thing that your playing on is the WWW (world wide web). Dont get me in the middle of "club house war" because I aint the one.
I have always been VERY polite in every post that Iv made here (though not alot) and I thanked Every one that replied to my previous post. Is that not enough?
as always, thanks for all of the replies
respectfuly
