Default RECTANGULAR OFF ROAD LIGHTS

Thanks to the help of Hummer Forum's generous advisers, my roof rack/light bar went to the powder coater this morning and I'll hopefully get it back by Friday. In the mean time, I want to buy Off Road lights for the roof bar and was thinking about rectangular ones as opposed to round. Any opinions to what brand and model to get. Some of the lights out there are poorly constructed and the finishes last about as long as a coat of wax(read Pro-Comp). I have not ruled out round completely, but think the lower profile rectangular lights might be better. I mocked up some cardboard lights on the bar during fabricating...see photo.

Give me your two cents! Please...

IPF are the best on the market...IMO...but you get what you pay for, they are expensive.

I am running ipf and kc's on the rubi and they both do a good job.

I like the look of the rectangular lights better but it is personal opinion.

Do you know the wattage of the two different lamps you've shown, Rhill20? and who makes them? What's IPF stand for where can I see them on-line?

actually these are the best lights I have ever had...they are a hella dual beam...two bulbs and two reflective cones behind one lens for each housing....so I had 3 lights but really had 6 beams...they were amazingly bright!! size was 6x8 I think.

I have no idea about the 2 x 6; mine are the 3 1/2 x 6 and are 100 watts. They aren't my permanent lights though, I was so anxious to put something on there I got 2 sets of Baja Champions (never heard of them either) $85 for all four. Was planning onswitching out toKC's but since it was mentioned earlier I've been checking out the IPF's online.I get the preference stated so far, anyone have expierence with the KC's?

the ones by my windshield are kc's as well.

They are bright....they compare to the ipf's. In my own comparisons the ips put out a more focused longer beam and the kc's are more wide and short...kinda like a driving light beam to a fog beam...but they are both considered off-road driving light beams. For a roof mounted light I think the ipf's would be better just because they are a longer more focused pattern that would get the light out in front of the truck where you need it. PIAA makes a couple kick *** off road lamps also but I never used them.
