Default Rear tire carrier

My H2 has the rear mounted swing out spare tire carrier. After not moving it for almost the whole winterit will barely move. It takes everything I have to swing it out. I noticed it has a grease fitting so I shot in as much grease as I could. It is still very difficult to move. Anyone have a similar problem? Any suggestions? Thanks

Sometimes they get sprund and have to be reset. Usually though replenishing the grease in the hinge solves it. Salt/snd etc. could also be interfering with its smooth operation. When I took my H2 in for regular service that is one of the things I had them take care of. Weseloh did it for free.

I used my grease gun and put in enough grease, it was coming out the top and bottom. Is there a way to take the hinge apart and regrease it. What is in there that has to be reset? Thanks

Not sure. Weseloh offered to do it will it was in on service. They said it was fairly common. Not sure what they did.
