This was asked a few years ago but the only answer was to get it replaced under warranty. Mine is six years old and out of warranty.

My rear door hatch plastic piece that holds the license plate is loose due to the 3m double sided tape is bad on the top left side. My question is how do I remove the whole panel so that I can put new double sided tape on it? Do I have to take off the inside panel to access it or does it all come off if you loosen the rest of the tape?
