i've got the gobi, but it's black. not sure if they make chrome, but you could always have it chromed. i use the crap out of it, although some might question whether i'm actually a "grown" man . . . . . anyway, it handles 180 lbs just fine. the scary part is drilling a hole in the tailgate, on top, to mount it.

The weight rating on all of Gobi's parts are 300 lbs without breaking a sweat. I have the rack and ladder and I swear by them. Deal directly through Gobi, you'll get the best price and the customer service can't be beat. You should also receive it within a week... don't get me started on one of the companies that carries gobi products, they're a joke and wanted 6 weeks to ship it... HA...

Don't hesitate about getting a Gobi though, it's well worth it.

No chrome from GOBI. Chrome will rust and pit if not properly cared for.

Now polished stainless is another story. The polished racks/ ladders look better than chrome and is easier to maintain.

Polished stainless may cost a little more, but will outlast chrome products.

The black looks best IMO.
