Rear Bumper Guard
ORIGINAL: tomp
Plug in a big trailer hitch and anyone that runs into will really mess up their ride, plus it mounts sturdy to the fram - unlike that cheap crap in the pics

HumV, thanks for the pics, but even when I try to lighten them up, I really can't make out how it mounts. If you have a chance, can you take and post a few more with a little more light on the mounting points?
Thanks
When I bought my H3 in Aug. 05 I was into aftermarket stuff big time. I ordered the same rear bumper guard. Well when I got it I was thinking this bad boy might make a great boat anchor. I installed it anyways. Now 2 years later, its of of the most useful additions on my H3. Its great for stepping on when I load my top rack and has saved a few dings at work by sleepy peeps in the morning. Its very sturdy and well made. Agreed, it looks kinda funny on there but its usefulness has more than paid for it. Just my 2cents for another Steelcraft rear bumper guard owner..

The instructions are way off
you have put the metal plate with the welded nut behind the top black bar located right ontop of mufler tip. then put your support bracket (you need an extender for your socket wrench to reach)

NOTE: this will NOT fit the ALPHA!! They must have changed the muffler attachment points on the drivers side of the muffler. The pass side fits as described, but It looks to me that GM added an additional support to the back 1/2 of the muffler. If I was to guess the I5 guys will only have one twards the front of the rig???
Also, even if it was to fit, the rear camera may be blocked a bit...anyone have additional info??
