In the Off Topic area under the thread at the top " Attention Members" Impy posted about the pop up banner situation. RealJeep posted about the spy cookies the Hummerforums site uses that he has to block and how disappointed he is that the forum stoops so low. He is a firefighter and has 500+ posts but do we want to address this or zap it?

He's correct.... to post on HF you have to accept a tracking cookie... Mine deletes everytime I close the browser.... but I doubt there is anything Patrick can do about it...

Yup. That's more of a PC issue. Some people have 10 different SPAM and SpyWare software(s) running that identifies things as a threat even though they aren't. I deal with this on a daily basis here at my company.

I can tell you that I always turn everything as far down as possible when I come onto the forums here because it runs like crap if I don't. I have never gotten anything from here. knock on wood

You can't go to hardly ANY website without trying to track you, that's how they know if their site is working or not

The tone of the e-mail is a little crusty. Just didn't want it to start anything.
